Tomorrow

It is late and I should be sleeping because tomorrow I am watching Britney's kids. I am hoping that this will give me the opportunity to catch up with the Tree House on some housework. It should be a fairly interesting day with Miss Gabby and a four, five, and six year old. Cheyenne(6) loves Gabby and keeps her entertained so that should make my day easier. Matt and Jacob just might make up for that though. As you all may know, it is impossible for me to go to bed at a decent hour. I am a night owl and have a hard time winding down, so I decided to try and fix this problem. I had been drinking Bigelow Sweet Dreams, I actually loved the flavor but it did nothing for my sleep. The other day I discovered Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra. It actually has a warning on the box not to drive or operate machinery after drinking it. That gives me hope that it might actually work. I am drinking as I speak type. I'm not sure that I love the flavor, definitly not as good as Bigelow, but it has something extra added to it. I think it may be working but then again that could be because it is late. I guess I will have to test it out earlier tomorrow. Tea is gone so that means time for bed. I hope to have nothing interesting to blog about tomorrow. That will mean the day went well and children behaved :)

Gabby and Kayla

Sunday we drove up to Silverton for a picnic. We spent a couple hours wandering the park and taking pictures. I had planned to buy the girls matching outfits but never managed to make it to the store because we were just too darn busy. I was really upset about it Sunday morning, but when we got to Silverton look what Mimi had! She had gotten the girls matching shirts. Miss Gabby is 20 months old and Miss Kayla is 9 and they were the same size shirts, pants and shoes! It was so much fun seeing the kids together. We are all so in love with Kayla. She is the cutest little thing! Jacob REALLY enjoyed her. He had talked non-stop about "that cute baby Kayla".
Gabby picking dandelions Checking it out "Here ya go Kayla" I'm sure Kayla tried to eat the dandelion after this picture. They are so tasty!

Potty Time!

We aren't potty training Gabriella just yet but many times a day she thinks she has to go and yells and cries until you take her. Friday night during bath time she threw a fit to go potty so I got her out of the tub and let her. Well guess what? She really did it! Unfortunatly it ended in disaster. The poor baby still wet from her bath jumped up, slipped and crashed into the cat box. I'm not sure who was more upset, baby or mommy. We rinsed her off in the sink and back in the bath she went. Since that incident she has insisted on sitting on the big potty. Can't say that I blame her. Saturday night she went again and that is when I took this picture. As always she has her goofy camera face. She still screams at me all of the time that she has to potty but hasn't went since. I think it may have just been a fluke, but that's okay I'm in no rush to potty train her. If she asks we will go but otherwise diapers it is!

Swimming

Satuday we went to the hotel and went swimming with Grandpa and Mimi. I forgot to take my camera down to the pool with us but was able to get a few pictures with my phone. Gabby was a little scared and Jacob was like a little fish. He was right at home in the water and at one point was towing Gabby around. Jamie was so sweet and let us borrow Kayla's floatie and it made Gabby much happier. Unfortunatly I missed getting a picture of Grandpa snorkeling with Jacob's leaky two dollar snorkel and mask. I didn't know it leaked and kept trying to get Jacob to stick his face in the water and try it. Nice Mommy!

More fun with Great Grandparents!

Great Grandparents!

This last weekend the kid's great grandparents, Mimi and Grandpa, were visiting from Lubbock, Texas. They brought thier daughter in-law Jamie and her daughter Kayla with them. We had SO much fun! Sammi's babyshower was on Thursday and somehow I only ended up with a few pictures. Too much going on to worry about a camera!
Jacob Gabby and Kayla playing together in the floor. Jacob was loving showing off for a the room full of people and Kayla was intent on getting Gabby's shoe. Gabby wasn't sure what to think, she has never really been around a baby smaller than her. Jacob was dancing for Kayla, he loved her so much! I couldn't get Kayla to look at the camera she was just too busy! Finally one of her cute little face!

Focaccia

Last night I was looking through a cookbook and Jacob saw the picture of foccaccia and told me he wanted "that". I decided I would try it and see what happened. I had to start the "sponge" last night and finish it today. I think it turned out pretty well, and by the pictures of the kids so did they. I think I will try the herbed version next time, and I'm also going to look into getting a bread stone. I have wanted one for a while so now I have more of a reason to buy one. This Friday is going to be Panini night. We ate quite a bit of this focaccia so I have to start over and hopefully it will turn out even better.

The other day our microwave made a weird noise and I said that I thought it was going to blow up. Jacob said "Oh no! Everyone get your popcorn bowls on your head it's gonna blow" This is what he looked like.
This is Gabby's look of joy when I came to rescue her after nap time.

I'm stuck forever...

Last night Jacob came to me in a panic and told me "Now i'm stuck forever!" He put on his monkey "leash" backpack and his deflated swimming tube and couldn't get them off. I asked him why his hair was wet and he so sweetly replied "oh that's just lotion". He had been very busy...

Isn't she the sweetest thing?

Just look at that face! I want to kiss her when I see this picture. This is the face she makes when you tell her to smile or she sees a camera. She is turning into such a big girl and it is killing me! Where did my baby go? It really hit me how big she is getting after seeing her with her nine month old cousin Kayla. She is another cutie but will save pictures of her for later.

"Hey you caught me!!" Do you think he knows that he is cute? "NO more pictures Mom!"

Goofy kids

Gabby thinks that the Mr. Potato Head glasses are for her. She was completely serious and wore them for quite some time. I catch her wearing them frequently.
The other pictures are from last Sunday. The two of Gabby are right before we left for Brianna's birthday party. No she is not "giving the bird", that is how she holds her glasses on her face (not that she needs to) and is still able to suck her thumb. And yes I think she was really picking her nose in the other one. The one of Jacob sleeping was on the way home. I thought it was so funny that he had his hand on the back of his hat. Goofy boy.
